Service Description

We will visit your property to assess the structural arrangement and conditions of your building in light of the proposed alteration and provide you with all the necessary designs and specifications to satisfy Building Control Requirements of Building Regulation Part A- Structures. Services Included: - Site Visit - Measured survey of one storey for the provision of engineering plans (max. area 50m2) - Provision of structural design calculations and specification for the necessary supports of up to aggregated 10m long structural element (supporting one storey over or/and roof): timber, concrete or steel beams including connection details; localised strengthening; bearing; foundations for framing arrangements. Additional charges apply over the above limits: - £5/m2 for the measured survey over 50m2 - £30/m run of the supporting structure times the number of supported storeys over the initial aggregated 10m long support - £30/m run of the supporting structure times the number of storeys for the support of more than 1 storey Important Notes: - The engineer visiting your property will not drill, cut, open or dig any trial holes, pits or finishes nor relocate furnishings. - You are reliable for providing enough information regarding your building and preparing your building for initial inspection. - Assure no substances hazardous to health are disturbed or structures and services undermined by your work. - In the absence of the information, the engineer will provide you with a design and specification that will list a number of assumptions made which will need to be confirmed at a later date when your contractor exposes or tests the existing structures for the engineers assessment. This further service will be charged at the going rates for the site visit, the time spent and costs.
